Japanese

• Japanese For Kids

Aims to introduce Japanese to children. Suitable from 7 to 12 years old. Japanese is learned through movies, picture and flash cards.

Students completing Japanese for Kids will be able :

1. To read and write Hiragana, Katakana adn some basic Kanji words
2. To make sentence and simple compositions on Japanese
3. To confidently speak basic Japanese

English For Teen & Adults

• English for Teens Step 1 - 10 ( SMP - SMA )

English for Teens courses are designed to bring students up to an Upper Intermediate / Pre-Advanced level of English. A greater emphasis is placed on undeerstanding the concepts of English grammar as a means to improve accuracy and fluency. Importance is also given to speaking and listening skills. As in previous courses, the emphasis is on a communicative and interactive approach to learning, with the students being encouraged to speak English at all times.

Classes are taught by experienced local teachers and native speaking English teacher

• English For Adults Beginner English - Advanced English

Our English for Adult courses are specially designed to take adults from an absolute beginner level up to a post-advanced level. The communicative approach of these courses is aimed at enabling students to speak English in the shortest time possible. While grammar is not taught as the core material, students learn written structure in order to facilitate fluency and accuracy in the spoken language. Individual courses can be designed for specific needs. Classes are taught by experienced local teachers and native speaking English teachers.

English For Children

1. English for Young Learners ( Ages 5 - 7 ), English for young Learners is an interactive introduction to English though songs, storytelling and activities. Students are encourages to use Englsih at all times. All activities are designed to help students acquire better reading, writing and speaking skills and are based on Piaget's Theory of Child Development and Cognitive Ability.
2. English for Kids ( Ages 7 - 14 ), English for Kids is designed to consolidate English skills acquired during the young learners courses by gradually introducing basic grammatical structures. The books are designed to increase awareness of the world around us, at the same time as learning the English language. There is an increased emphasis on building vocabulary, speaking and reading skills through interactive and communicative activities.

About International Education Centre (IEC)

International Education Centre opened its school in jalan Malaka 1998 with the objective of offering quality english tuition to both tuition to both children and adults.During the first year there were approximately 400 students and 25 local and native speaking teachers divided between two departments (English and Playgroup). Five years later, and the school now has four departments (English, Playgroup, Mandarin and Japanese), a student body of approximately 3.200 students and more than 150 teachers.

In 2004, a new IEC school was opened in jalan Jemadi to help cope with the increased demand for our services, from students resident outsude the Malaka area. The new built Jemadi school has 18 classrooms to supplement the existing 29 classrooms in the Malaka school.
